Tooth Filling Mount Gambier

A tooth filling experience so pleasant you’ll leave feeling pampered

Illumident Patient

A dental filling by the gentlest of hands

Tooth fillings are arguably up there with root canals when it comes to patients’ ‘most dreaded’ dental treatments. And a tooth filling cost is certainly not something one typically budgets for.

At Illumident Mount Gambier we address both of these concerns - with our light, delicate and comfort-focused approach to filling teeth, and our variety of payment plans - most being interest-free - getting you out of tooth trouble now, and paying progressively.

Our patients’ dazzling teeth whitening before and afters

Step-by-step to a healthy tooth - the dental filling procedure

Step 1

First we’ll gently administer local anaesthetic to the tooth’s surrounds to ensure your complete comfort. We’ll then prep the tooth, remove existing damage and any bacteria.

Step 2

We then fill the cavity with tooth-coloured strong composite resin.

Step 3

The filling will then be bonded to the tooth, buffed and polished. You’re now good to go and can eat after 30 minutes.

Dental filling cost, from $195

DentiCare allows you to spread out the cost of your dental treatment into comfortable, interest-free payments. Plans range from $250 to $12,000. You can decide on your payment plan details, including the deposit, and how much and how often (weekly, fortnightly or monthly) you pay.
Smile now, pay later. TLC (stands for Total Life Credit) lets you borrow up to $50,000 to get those pearly whites you’ve always wanted. The process is quick and stress-free. Once your application is approved, funds are paid directly to your bank account. Easy!
With Afterpay you’ll never pay interest and there are no additional fees when you pay on time. Afterpay also offers smart spend limits to ensure you never bite off more than you can chew.

on your tooth filling questions

Q: What are dental fillings?

They are a dental treatment designed to prevent a decayed tooth or a broken tooth from further damage. Effectively they are a ‘seal’ for a tooth after it has been cleaned and prepared. There are several types of dental fillings, including composite resin tooth filling - which is what we typically use.

Q: How much is a tooth filling?

Our tooth fillings start from $195, and this can be paid for by using any of our flexible payment plans.

Q: Do tooth fillings hurt?

You might experience some discomfort when local anaesthetic is administered, however any tooth sensitivity after filling should disappear by the next day.

Q: Will I have a hot and cold sensitive tooth after filling?

You might - some patients do report this or just an overall sensitive tooth after filling - both circumstances can be simply relieved with over the counter medication.

Q: How long do tooth fillings last?

Providing you care for your teeth properly - i.e. brushing, flossing and attending six-monthly check-up and clean appointments, your filling will last for a long time. It is care-dependent.

Fix your broken or decayed tooth with our highest-quality and comfortable dental fillings.
